Dimitra Paraskevopoulou

Theatrologist | Storyteller

Dimitra Paraskevopoulou is a Theatre Studies Expert who studied at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has facilitated creativity-boosting after-school activities for young children on the spectrum and has worked as a chaperone in children’s summer camps. During the last years of her studies, she has been actively involved with volunteering at Athens Pride Festival, having taken on responsibilities at the “Workshop” and “Body-painting” departments. She has worked on front office technical support for a telecommunications company for several years. Her enthusiasm for the world of Arts led her to the film production industry, where she worked as Production Assistant in a movie. Inspired by the filmmaking procedure, she has enrolled in a seminar on “Video production & Storytelling”, organized by “Karpos” and UNHCR Greece, and set her foundations on montage techniques. As a person with disabilities herself, through her activities, she strives to prove that all people with disabilities can do anything uniquely and should not be excluded.
