Recently, we collaborated with the Ortholife Center for Orthotic Fabrication & Prosthetics within the framework of our program “Training in Customer and Consumer Service for Disabled people.”
Implementation in practice:
- The Ortholife team participated in an experiential workshop facilitated by disabled people.
- Throughout the training, particular emphasis was placed on effective communication and on understanding the individualized needs of each client through the perspective of disability.
- An in-depth exchange of experiences took place, as the company has been active in the field of disability for over 15 years. This rendered the program not only instructive but also empowering for the team.
Outcomes:
- The reinforcement of a human-centered approach among employees and the enhancement of the quality of service they provide.
- The alignment of the company more closely with its mission: enabling a more typical, day-to-day life for disabled people through orthopedic rehabilitation products and services.
- This collaboration demonstrates that even organizations already engaged in the disability sector can benefit from specialized training and experiential programs, provided they are delivered by disabled people.
