The NPO “Me Alla Matia” announces the implementation of the educational program “Des Ti Zoi Me Alla Matia” in general and special education school units across all levels in Messinia, as part of its collaboration with the Captain Vassilis & Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation, through a relevant grant from the Foundation. This is an important educational initiative focused on inclusion, accessibility, and understanding disability, contributing to the awareness of the student population.

The educational program “Des Ti Zoi Me Alla Matia” is based on experiential learning and open dialogue, with the participation of disabled facilitators who, together with children, explore contemporary issues of social inclusion. Through a child-centered approach, emphasis is placed on the active participation of students, who are invited to express thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences, contributing to the shaping of the educational process itself. Each session is dynamically adapted to the needs and characteristics of each group, highlighting uniqueness and fostering empathy and respect.

As highlighted in the philosophy of the program, the goal is the transition “from Me to We.”

The program has already demonstrated significant impact nationwide. From 2017 to today, more than 1,200 activities have been implemented in schools, with the participation of over 100,000 students and educators, substantially contributing to the dismantling of stereotypes and prejudices around disability.

We sincerely thank the Captain Vassilis & Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation, as its support enables the free in-person participation of schools in Messinia throughout 2026, expanding the program’s reach to even more students.

The program is delivered within one teaching hour during school hours and in accordance with the current regulatory framework of the Ministry of Education.

Available dates are limited; please express your interest early for scheduling visits.
