📌On Saturday, November 30th, 2024, “Me Alla Matia” NPO conducted an interactive training seminar at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) to familiarize its volunteers with visual impairment.
🎯The goal was to enhance the support, guidance and service provided to visitors with visual impairment at SNFCC facilities.
During the seminar, participants were introduced to and practiced techniques for accompanying visually impaired individuals using a sighted guide. Additionally, part of the organization’s monthly accessibility tour at SNFCC was presented, aiming to highlight the venue’s accessibility features.
The training also incorporated videos from the #speakup campaign by “Me Alla Matia”, designed to raise public awareness about disability. Many questions from attendees about disability and accessibility were addressed, fostering a deeper understanding of these issues.
