After our registration in the social organisations registry and the cultural organisations registry, our recognition by the state keeps on strong!
In November 2024, the non-profit organization “Me Alla Matia” was recognized as a Social and Solidarity Economy Entity and was registered in the Social and Solidarity Economy Entities Registry under Law 4430/2016, maintained by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
This certification means that the organisation carries out activities that have collective and social benefits, including, among others, the creation of equal production relationships, the establishment of stable and decent employment positions, and the provision of social services for the general interest and social inclusion.
The registration of “Me Alla Matia” in the aforementioned registry aims to strengthen its economic activities and maximise the social benefit produced through horizontal and equal networking with other entities. Additionally, this registration gives “Me Alla Matia” the right to access various state support measures, such as funding from the Social Economy Fund or the National Fund for Entrepreneurship and Development, inclusion in entrepreneurship support programs, and programs from the Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA) to support employment, among others. It also allows us to enter into programmatic agreements for the study and implementation of social welfare projects related to our activities with the public sector, local government organisations, and other public entities.
Furthermore, “Me Alla Matia” has been registered in the Public Database of Civil Society Organizations under Law 4873/2021, maintained by the Ministry of the Interior. This registration is a prerequisite to access government funding and also provides some tax incentives to support our social activities.
However, the registration in the Ministry of the Interior’s Public Database carries a high level of requirements and ensures transparency. “Me Alla Matia” submitted complete details regarding its legal formation, its current statutes, its governing body, as well as financial statements from the last fiscal years. The organization is also required to regularly update the Ministry’s relevant Directorate with any changes to the submitted information and to renew all these details and its registration annually in the Public Database.
Finally, it is worth noting that although not mandatory, “Me Alla Matia” has been preparing its financial balance sheet since its founding, audited by certified accountants.
“Our work is characterized by intensive effort, legality, transparency, modernisation, and the maximisation of our social impact,” says the President, and lawyer, Mr. Vangelis Avgoulas, following the above certifications.
