Toyota Hellas and the NPO “Me Alla Matia” Continue Collaboration Aiming to Better Serve People with Disabilities
Following the disability awareness training seminar held last October in Athens, and as part of Toyota Hellas’ commitment to equality, inclusion, and diversity, the company took another significant action on July 9th. Specifically, the company, in collaboration with the NGO “With Other Eyes,” gave the employees of Toyota Hellas, this time at retail stores in Thessaloniki, the opportunity to attend an educational program focused on the familiarization of people with disabilities and the right way to serve them. This experiential seminar allowed the company’s personnel to gain knowledge on accessibility issues and to enhance their skills to provide equal service to all.
The NPO “Me Alla Matia”, with experience in similar programs, coordinated an educational seminar for the more effective provision of services to customers with disabilities, aiming to broaden inclusive practices both of the company and its employees, and to further understand the needs of people with disabilities through experiential and interactive educational activities. Practically, the trainees, among other things, came into contact with techniques for accompanying people with visual impairments, which they immediately applied during the training.
