G.AI.N Greek AI Network
The non-profit organization participated as a member of the Network for the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights in the development and use of Artificial Intelligence systems in Greece, at the founding conference organized by Homo Digitalis on October 7, 2025.
During the conference, we had the opportunity to meet and engage with the other members and observers of the Network, who came from various civil society organizations. Through meaningful dialogue, each organization presented its perspectives and experiences within the scope of its field of expertise.
Particular emphasis was placed on understanding how artificial intelligence systems affect multiple areas of social and institutional reality.
Issues related to the effective oversight of these systems were discussed, as well as their impact on the aforementioned sectors.
Through discussion rounds and thematic workshops, the foundations were laid for a productive and ongoing dialogue among civil society organizations with different areas of action. The thematic sections included:
⏹ business practices and algorithmic transparency, examining the connection between technology, entrepreneurship, regulatory frameworks, and ethics,
⏹ the impact of artificial intelligence on democratic institutions and the information society, as well as,
⏹ the relationship between artificial intelligence and issues of public security and the management of migration.
A common point of reference throughout the conference was the clear intention to create a strong and effective ecosystem for monitoring, oversight, and co-shaping the development of artificial intelligence, with the protection of fundamental rights as its guiding principle.
The organization expresses its great pleasure in participating in this initiative and in contributing to the co-creation of an inclusive and democratic framework in relation to the new technological reality.
