It is a fact that the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) corporate culture is gaining more and more traction in Greece. The demand for acceptance of uniqueness in the corporate world, as well as the proven benefits that diverse work environments offer, leads companies to seek more D&I practices.
The NPO “Me Alla Matia” has been active in the corporate D&I field since 2018, supporting companies in achieving a better culture of inclusion and accessibility. With custom-made corporate programs tailored to the needs of each company, it has managed to educate over 11,100 employers and employees on the realities of disability, accessibility, and inclusion.
In this context, in collaboration with the internationally active company Spotlight, we created an educational video in English for companies seeking practical tools for empowering the inclusion of disabled individuals in the corporate environment.
In practice, individuals and organizations who dream, act, and advocate in this field starred in educational videos with the sole aim of instilling inclusion through their experiences. Vaggelis Avgoulas, President of the NPO “Me Alla Matia,” and Thalia Kiousi, Head of Inclusive Programs, participated in this online toolkit for corporate inclusion, which was designed and implemented by the Swedish company.
In our educational video, we delve into many aspects of accessibility and provide real knowledge and tools to organizations striving for greater inclusion and accessibility. We shed light on the concept of universal design, especially in the realm of product design for businesses aiming to connect with the disabled community. Many uncharted aspects of disability inclusion still exist, and our episode is ready to offer insights into them.
