Menus in Braille, the tactile writing system for the blind, are now mandatory for dining establishments, in an effort to achieve a basic right: enabling visually impaired consumers to know their options for ordering and the prices of the items they wish to purchase.

However, not all establishments have fully complied with the relevant ministerial decision (Ministerial Decision 91354/17, Article 70, 1.B).

Meallamatia.gr is the only fully accessible social online portal for daily updates on issues concerning vulnerable social groups, particularly people with disabilities (PwD) and their families. To ensure the universal implementation of the above measure, we inform you that we will advertise any establishments that provide menus in Braille for free.

Those who wish to register their advertisement should email us the full details of their dining establishment at info@meallamatia.gr, explicitly stating that they provide a menu in Braille. Sending the email will automatically mean that the establishment agrees to allow a representative of meallamatia.gr to visit the premises at any time to request to see or use the relevant menu. If it is found that misleading information has been provided, we will immediately publish this fact upon verification.

Our website offers this opportunity for free advertising to dining establishments nationwide.
