Meallamatia.gr: Accessibility upgrade according to WCAG 2.2 AA requirements & ACR VPAT Report from a certified member of IAAP
Meallamatia.gr, one of the first fully accessible news portals in Greece, takes digital accessibility one step further.
We re-audited our website and received an ACR VPAT Report from a certified member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP), who is now a member of our scientific team.
Although meallamatia.gr was already designed to meet the needs of all users, with this action we confirm our commitment to compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA, adopting the latest international digital accessibility specifications.
What does this upgrade mean?
✅ WCAG 2.2 AA compliance – Incorporation of the new criteria that ensure even greater accessibility.
✅ ACR VPAT Report Release – Assessment by a Certified Accessibility Professional (IAAP).
✅ Ongoing Commitment to Accessibility – Improving the Navigation Experience for Everyone!
The Founder and President of “Me Alla Matia” NPO, Mr. Vaggelis Avgoulas notes:
“Accessibility is not just a technical compliance for us; rather a substantial commitment to equal access to information and specialized information on social issues. This certification proves that meallamatia.gr continues to pioneer digital inclusion and our corporate websites have already been submitted for certification”!
