A six-month collaboration agreement has been signed between the social enterprise for disabled people, “Me Alla Matia” and the Center for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind – KEAT.

The goal of this collaboration is the modern promotion on social media of the actions and purposes of the Center, the country’s unique public entity serving individuals with visual impairments. KEAT addresses the needs of young and adult individuals with visual impairments on a national level, with the main objective being their independence and full integration into society.

Juliana Bousi, blind philologists and copywriter, has been appointed as the coordinator of this collaboration. Updates from KEAT will be disseminated to the specialized disabled audience, which constitutes the dynamic network of “Me Alla Matia”.

The fully accessible socio-political portal, meallamatia.gr, informs 170,000 unique users, while its Facebook followers exceed 27,000. The rich activity of the social enterprise on social media is highlighted through the #SpeakUp campaign, where disabled individuals present their daily moments, reaching 17 million views.

Additionally, there will be technical support for adding alternative text to KEAT’s posts, as well as editing and more frequent production of informative content.

The relevant collaboration was ratified by the Director and President of the Board of Directors of KEAT, Ms. Sophia Hamonikolaou, and the blind lawyer and Chairman of NPO “Me Alla Matia”, Mr. Vaggelis Avgoulas.
